Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 June 2026

These Terms govern your use of Platra. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them. Read carefully — they describe what we promise, what you promise, and the rules that apply when something goes wrong.

Section 1

The service

Platra is a digital ordering platform that connects you (the “Customer”) with independent restaurants (the “Merchants”). We act as a technical intermediary — the contract for the food itself is between you and the Merchant. We are responsible for the ordering, payment processing, and notification flow.

Section 2

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure.

Section 3

Orders, prices, and payment

  • Prices, opening hours, and product availability are set by the Merchant and may change without notice.
  • All prices include Swedish VAT (moms) at the applicable rate.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe. Platra never sees or stores your card details.
  • An order is confirmed once you receive an in-app or email confirmation. The Merchant may decline an order (e.g. out of stock, closed) in which case you are refunded in full.

Section 4

Right of withdrawal

Under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (Distansavtalslagen 2005:59), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to perishable goods such as prepared food and beverages (Ch. 2 §11 p. 4).

Once a Merchant has accepted and started preparing your order it cannot be cancelled by you. Refunds for Merchant-side errors (wrong, missing, or unsafe food) are handled per section 5.

Section 5

Refunds and complaints

  • If your order is not as described, contact the Merchant first by phone (number shown on the receipt). If unresolved within 24 hours, email us at system@platra.se.
  • We mediate between you and the Merchant in good faith. Refunds, where due, are issued to the original payment method.

Section 6

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Place fraudulent orders, charge back legitimate orders, or abuse refund channels.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
  • Post reviews that are defamatory, discriminatory, or untruthful.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Section 7

Reviews

You retain ownership of any review you publish but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and translate it within the Service. Reviews must reflect a genuine ordering experience.

Section 8

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Swedish law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for the quality, safety, or fitness of the food itself — that is the Merchant’s responsibility under the Swedish Food Act (Livsmedelslagen 2006:804).

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights under Konsumentköplagen (2022:260).

Section 9

Intellectual property

The Platra service, its software, design, and trademarks are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of it without permission.

Section 10

Data sharing with Merchants

When you place an order, Platra shares the personal data necessary for the restaurant (Merchant) to fulfil it. By placing an order you accept this sharing as an inseparable part of the service.

  • The Merchant receives your name, email address, phone number, the items ordered, order total, and — for delivery orders — your delivery address.
  • The Merchant may use this information for order fulfilment, customer support, loyalty and cashback programmes, and customer relationship management.
  • A Merchant may only access data relating to customers who have placed at least one order with them — never data from other Merchants’ customers.
  • Merchants do not receive your password, payment card details, or any data beyond what is needed to fulfil your order and manage your relationship with them.

Full details of what is shared, why, and the legal basis under GDPR are set out in our Privacy Policy — Section 6.

Section 11

Privacy

Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Section 12

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Section 13

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes shall be heard by Swedish courts, with Stockholms tingsrätt as the court of first instance, unless mandatory consumer-protection law dictates otherwise.
